Reviews
The main plot is good versus evil but what a plot! Over the three books we watch the main character, Roger Coniston SOCO, go from a man who is one of the best in his field to become a man bent on revenge. There are so many sub plots going on with an underworld criminal, Hades, Russians, an offshoot from the IRA, and the Police themselves. Here is an author who just keep the storyline coming and involve us in the personal lives of the main players. You know good will win but what a route to get there!! An extremely well thought out and researched novel that will keep you not only reading but rooting for Roger all the way. Action, tears and humour abound within a story worthy of becoming a film/series.
Exiting and invigorating, couldn’t put this book down, or should I say the trilogy of stories, if you want a really good read then these books are for you, there is gruesome and heartbreaking sadness combined, my congratulations and thanks to Andrew Barret for giving so much pleasure
Andrew is a great writer who is certainly not writing like a made for TV CSI story, but what REALLY goes on behind/at the scenes!! Consequently, he weaves a number of plot lines into the story not just of the murders, etc, that Roger Conniston is investigating but what goes on in his home life, at work and also in his mind. Thoroughly enjoyed all three books. Contains a lot of pretty gritty detail but you need that to follow what Roger is deducing from the findings, VERY hard to put down and go to sleep books!! Thanks Andrew, look forward to the next one....
