Welcome to the DS Regan Carter series. This is a collection of UK crime thrillers featuring a spectacular female detective hellbent on doing the right thing – her own way. Over 1400 pages of non-stop action and emotion will leave you exhausted and hungry for more. Plus, this boxset contains one very special, exclusive chapter at the end of book four.
A Random Kill. How Regan’s life changed
DS Regan Carter finds herself working in a dead woman’s shoes in the Major Crime Unit. She hates it, and she hates dead bodies – something this department exists for. Here in the deep end, Regan faces her first homicide – a murdered young mother whose child has been abducted. This is a gruesome case, but it gets worse.
The Dark Arches. How Regan gets shot
Regan is getting too close to gang boss Jonathon Bradshaw. But Bradshaw has a secret weapon: Eric Clements. He’s a maniac – and he’s after Regan. While trying to stay alive, Regan must investigate one of the country’s most sadistic mass killings.
Cutting Ties. How Regan lost someone
When Regan is forced to move in with her mother, things go from bad to worse. Death follows Regan around like a hungry dog, and she is in perpetual mourning. But there’s no time to recover because Bradshaw is planning something audacious that’s likely to prove fatal for a lot of innocent people. Regan faces an old enemy keen to see her dead.
The Colour of Fury. How Regan gets burned
When Regan gets the scent of the top man in the organised crime gang, she risks everything to capture him. Imminent death at the hands of corrupt colleagues and a fire raging out of control bring Regan and her investigation to a sudden and heart-wrenching halt. The question remains: can she escape and still see justice done?
Reviews
I’ve read these books separately and had to grab the boxset It’s an excellent series & Regan is just a brilliant character. Her team and her may butt heads but they get stuff done. So worth every penny and time spent reading it.
