A unique way of giving a voice to murdered children. I have never read a book quite like this before but I will be reading more by this author. The children’s stories are fascinating to read and are written with tremendous sensitivity, truly giving a realistic voice to the children. Jessica Jackson looks for reasons why these crimes occur, and for ways to prevent them. Prepare yourself for an emotional and immersive read. Even if you haven’t read this kind of book before, give this one a try - you won’t be disappointed.

I highly recommended the collection. Jessica has done what I've never seen before, and has written through the eyes of the child, as well as sticking with the facts of each case. A truly heartbreaking but eye opening collection, highlighting what was for too long a taboo subject, but raising awareness to the true extent of what our most innocent are subjected to at the very hands of those that should have protected them.

This book is excellent, so well written and researched. The way in which the initial part of each story portrays how the children suffered is delivered sensitively before moving to the factual aftermath of adult failure. It is intriguing and it shocks as it highlights the abhorrent side of human nature and reminds us that any one of us in a professional and non professional capacity can make mistakes and miss obvious signs of neglect. We must all be more vigilant. Well done Jessica, this is a moving and much needed book. I hope it’s a great success and we see a Sky or Netflix adaptation to follow that will further highlight the plight of some of our most unfortunate children, and saves some of them from harm they don’t deserve.
