Formats: E-Book
Ages: 16-18, 18+
Some doors should never be opened.
Toby Dunbar believes he is one step closer to uncovering the truth.
Instead, he walks into a trap that was set years before he ever knew it existed.
As Detective Mason quietly guides Toby toward a man known only as Freezo, every answer uncovers another secret buried beneath decades of violence, betrayal, and fear. What begins as a search for a killer soon becomes something far more personal when Freezo's past collides with Toby's family, Billy Jr.'s memories, and the terrifying legacy of Green Eyes.
Meanwhile, Officer Danner begins questioning Mason's motives, sensing that the investigation is no longer about justice but about settling old debts.
Every path leads to the same frozen warehouse.
Every clue points toward the same steel door.
And once that door closes, not everyone will walk back out.
As the truth finally begins to emerge, Toby realizes he was never chasing Freezo.
He was being led to him.
Freezo's Door is a gripping psychological crime thriller where manipulation, revenge, and long-buried secrets collide in a deadly game that no one truly controls.
Reviews
5 out of 5 stars Backfire Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2026 Format: Kindle Freezo’s Door was an entertaining thriller that kept me interested throughout. I enjoyed the suspense and the feeling that something unexpected could happen at any moment. The characters added plenty of tension to the story, and I liked how the plot gradually revealed more about what was really going on. There were moments that made me want to keep listening rather than stop, which is always a good sign for me. The audiobook format worked well for this story because the action and suspense came through clearly. Overall, it was an enjoyable and fast-paced listen that I would definitely recommend.
4 out of 5 stars Tense, Emotional, and A Middle Chapter That Sharpens the Backfire Saga Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2026 Format: Kindle Freezo’s Door is the kind of second book that refuses to coast, it deepens the stakes, sharpens the suspense, and tests the bonds between characters in ways that feel raw and urgent. I like how it balances danger with intimacy, letting the emotional fallout hit just as hard as the action. The pacing is relentless, the writing taut, and the atmosphere keeps you hooked while setting up the trilogy’s explosive finale. It’s a gripping continuation that proves the Backfire series knows how to keep its fire burning.
