The Legend of Haverton Beck - The Aella Chronicles 3

Formats: E-Book, Paperback

Ages: 18+

Immortality and magic. A gift and a curse.

Aella Saluagius, an immortal elemental witch, has spent centuries avenging the women silenced by history. But now her focus has shifted; her fifteen-year-old daughter, Roma, raised in the secluded community of Cagliasaro, is her greatest responsibility and her greatest vulnerability.
When a family tragedy summons them to the seemingly quiet town of Haverton Beck, buried secrets begin to surface. The past isn’t done with Aella, and Roma is about to discover how deeply her fate is entwined with the town’s mythical legacy and with three women trapped in loveless, oppressive marriages.
As the town’s dark history collides with their arrival, Aella and Roma find themselves drawn into the Legend of Haverton Beck. But when the powerful and corrupt Reilly brothers unearth a truth about Roma’s origins, mother and daughter are torn apart, their bond tested by betrayal, longing and the painful weight of legacy.
Bound by more than blood, torn by truth, Aella must decide what she is willing to sacrifice and what it truly means to be free.

Because, in the end, immortality demands its price.

Reviews

What a read! I waited patiently for book 3 from this author and I wasn't disappointed. The story draws you in. I am fully invested in Aella and her daughter Roma. The historical accuracy and integration into the story line is seamless. I was fascinated by the sprites and how they travelled, I have a different respect for water and find I am looking in case I see evidence of sprites. I am now anticipating the next story.

This book is a must read, not only does it entertain with its twist and turns, this book delivers a strong message; the author plunges into the historical world of misogyny; it is raw, at times breathtaking and painful but every women who reads this book will have experienced some sort of abuse at the hands of a man. I devoured this book in two sittings.

Wow, You did it again Carol. I knew I would need an uninterrupted day to sit down and read The Legend of Haverton Beck after I read the 1st chapter. I could not put it down. It's so easy to get transported to where Aella is and get lost in her world.
