Seconds Out - The Stronger You 2
Formats: E-Book, Paperback
Ages: 18+
Seconds Out is a contemporary sapphic sports romance where former boxer and coach Abs takes on her most challenging student, only to find herself drawn to Hayley, the headstrong single mum who will do anything for her daughter. What begins in a women’s gym as mentoring and strict boundaries becomes late-night check-ins, careful trust, and the patient ache of a slow burn lesbian romance.
As sparring sessions turn into real talk and progress turns into pride, Abs must face the past she keeps off the record. Hayley must decide if she can risk her already full life on a woman who lives by control. In a small community that watches everything, they navigate co-parenting tensions, school meetings, and the quiet pull that will not go away.
Expect ringside rivalry, soft kitchen moments, and a coach who learns that strength is not only measured in rounds won. This is a character-led lesbian sports romance with consent, communication, and genuine aftercare at its core. It is also a tender lesbian romance novel about found family, healing, and choosing the love that makes you braver.
Perfect for readers stacking shelves with lesbian fiction, sapphic romance, and gym-set stories with real heart. Seconds Out proves that when the bell goes again, you can still come back fighting for your own happiness.
Reviews
Great book I loved this book. I thought it was great that Abs befriended the girl because she knew what she was going through. It was funny how Abs and Hailey met and didn't get along but soon after they were as happy as they could be.
Everyone needs someone Abs really put herself out there to try and reach Gracie. Gracie needed someone to talk to who could relate to her situation. I enjoyed seeing how they became friends. Grace's mom Hayley has a massive attitude and some pent up lust waiting to be let out. Abs and Hayley have a rocky start but there is just something there that you want it to work. So many kids fall through the cracks without someone like Abs to try and reach out to them.
