A young elf with no past. A kingdom teetering on the brink of civil war. A destiny that will change the course of Elvendom forever.
Fel’annár, the outcast warrior, marches into the heart of the Motherland with his loyal Company, sworn to protect their prince as ancient rivalries between Silvan and Alpine elves threaten to ignite into full-blown civil war. But as Fel’annár’s long-dormant power begins to stir, so too do echoes of a hidden past—one that could upend everything he thought he knew.
In the shadows of the royal court, the Elvenking uncovers a truth that shakes the very foundation of his rule. With the rise of the Alpine Purists and whispers of rebellion growing louder, the kingdom teeters on the brink.
As war looms and loyalties are tested, the Great Forest cries out for a unifier. But is Fel’annár the warrior who can restore peace—or the spark that will set Elvendom ablaze?

Reviews
I am well into my cynical fifties and devour my books as if there is no tomorrow, which ofcourse is reasonably relevant to me. With todays opportunistic politicking and depressingly polarized thinking I need my escape and this series delivered wonderfully well. As frustrated as it was to read the developing racism and bigotry towards the mc and friends, as heart warming it was to read about the loyalty and friendship between the main characters. I had tears in my eyes during several moments in the series and when you can do that to me, you deserve your 5 stars. Well done ms. Lander.
What an excellent sequel! The further adventures of our hero, and The Company are truly exciting and quite unpredictable. The author unfolds even more detail about this world and fills in much of the backstory of the various different races that populate the kingdoms. A plot to kill the Silvan is revealed, and we must say goodbye to some treasured friends we met in the first novel. But that is what I like about the author’s approach to telling this tale. She involves us in the intricacies of elven relationships and friendships and in so doing helps us reflect on relationships in our own world. That’s the beauty and majesty of epic storytelling when it really works. And so far, it is really working. The writing style is commendable. What do I mean by that?nThe choice of words, the ability to give each character certain ways of speaking, and the ability to describe landscapes and settings without being heavy, handed or boringly descriptive is what gives this author’s style, a real fluidity and ease of reading. Just an excellent story, I am certainly hooked and I want to see where all of our characters go from here. Five star effort!
My review may or may not be posted, foul language. I have read a lot. I am rarely moved to an emotional or visceral response. I was here. I don't know this author, have never read her before, but I am impressed. Not to sound biggoted, but I am normally not a fan of women writing a warrior's tale. I was a warrior of a sort at one point, and I will tell you she hit it. Bravo Zulu. It moved this man. Beautifully written, BOTH books. If you have ever given yourself to a cause that you consider more than yourself buckle the f*** up; you will connect with the main character in a way that will be hard to dismiss or discuss. I will be eagerly waiting the 3rd and hoping it is as transformative.
