Formats: E-Book, Audio, Paperback
Welcome to Boscandia, an elven realm on the brink of civil war.
After a lifetime of war, all Fel’annár wants is to find the family he lost, and the friends he left behind. But in the forest realm of Boscandia, peace is fragile. Haunted by whispers of his glorious past, hunted by a dark plot to overthrow the crown of Boscandia, Fel'annár inadvertently walks into the heart of darkness and tribal unrest.
A malevolent power, long exiled, has returned. The Antadak, master of forbidden magic, gathers his acolytes to wage a covert war of vengeance on the Adak people for once exiling him. As he slowly poisons the land with the corrupting force of his arcane acolytes, Fel’annár is drawn into the Damned Lands, a treacherous region pulsing with ancient secrets and tribal warfare, where a prophecy resurfaces, one in which he plays a key role.
With the fate of Boscandia at stake, Fel’annár must reclaim his dormant abilities, reunite with old allies, and forge bonds with the tribal people of Adakia. But as shadows close in, can the ex-warlord of Ea Uaré and his Company stand before the devastating power of the Antadak Tarwenol? Or will this corrupting magic poison them all, and plunge Boscandia into its smothering darkness?
Reviews
I loved the Silvan series when I read them for the first time. The Shiran was a step up from that series. And just when I didn't think I could find a series I like more .... until Dawn of the Adakia came out. R. K. Lander succeeded in writing another book that is full of action and creates an adrenaline rush with her actions scenes. The intrigue and impending evil being resurrected keeps the reader on their toes. You get drawn into the story and you will find yourself just dying to find out what will happen next and what the outcome will be. A wonderful series and I can't hardly wait for the next book.
I absolutely love all of these books! I have read them all, and reread all of them again before reading each new one that comes out. The depth of emotion that each character in these books has is amazing. I don't think I have ever encountered it in any other book that I have read, and I consume a LOT of books! THIS is how stories should be told. THIS is the depth, the level of emotions, that should saturate tales that are shared. These stories evoke in you such feelings, that it impacts your life when reading them. You feel the grief, the anger, the joy, the love, everything, like you are there yourself. If anyone can read these books and not cry along with the characters when they do, you are a far stronger person than I. There are few stories that I have read that have actually made me feel honored to have read them. These are those stories. I don't typically write book reviews but I just can't NOT give my opinion of these books and this author. I am a fan for life. I will read any book this author writes. Then I will read them again and again. Well done, R.K. Lander. You are a truely talented Storyteller! Thank you so much for sharing these amazing stories with us!

This is an epic fantasy centered around elves on the brink of war, steeped in political tension and age-old rivalries. The story unfolds with a slow, deliberate build, immersing you in the world and its stakes before launching into gripping, full-scale battle scenes that are absolutely worth the wait. And the narration? Daniel Thomas May brings the entire world to life. His voice is melodic and expressive, capturing the emotional nuance of each scene. With distinct inflections for every character, it's always clear who's speaking, which makes for an incredibly immersive listening experience. His performance elevates the story in all the right ways.
