Why do I have to wait for the final installment? LOL I absolutely love Fel and the gang. Ms. Lander, this story made me laugh, cry and everything in between. I have been reading since book one and can't seem to find anything that I don't like about it. I didn't care that it was over eight hundred pages because the storytelling was so engrossing that it felt like less. I didn't care that the book was split into two parts, because I was looking for a part three. The only thing I care about is what happens next. I can't wait but know I will have to. (Sigh!)
Unbelievable because this 5th book not only sustains the story of the first four but surpasses it in storytelling. And that’s what makes it so satisfying. The characters are true to themselves, yet growing and changing in ways we would not expect yet are perfectly in line to who they are. The horrors of the war are told but in a way that does not devastate the reader. I have come to love these characters as much as I love Tolkien’s. If you want an excellent read, read this series. I can’t wait for the next book! Thank you! Read this series!
I have read and listened to every book in the Silvan series numerous times. Starting with Path of a Novice through this book, Rise of the Silvan . I never tire of them. The author continues to introduce new characters, twist and turns, plots and counter plots. But the Rise of the Silvan took the Silvan series to a whole new level. I have been a fantasy reader since I purchased my first hard copy of the Wheel of time. If this book is a taste of what to expect from future books in the Silvan series, I sincerely believe the series and author will earn a place beside Jordan’s Wheel of time. I look forward to the next book.
