Reviews
I have read all the books in R. K. Landers’ first series (the Silvan) and they were outstanding. Flight of the Shirán is the second book in her new series, Elven Worlds, and it does not disappoint. Detailed world building and evolving characters that are relatable. The series follows the main protagonist as he struggles to regain his memories and trains to become a fighting member of the Order of Shirán. The god of revenance has declared war on all free people and the forces set to oppose him are heavily outnumbered by his vast army. All hopes lay on an untrained Shiran Warrior who has the potential to become the alliance’s greatest asset.
Flight of the Shiran tells of the Shirans trek to the desert in the south to face off with the demigod Arzen. Feldar’s struggles to remember his first life while trying to navigate this new world. The war in the south is escalating, and Ortalan and his Shirán must travel to the desert to protect Fort Arlys from take over by the revenants. There is sadness but also humor, romance, and loads of action. And you if you love dragons, well, this is where you should be. Amazing world building by the premiere female author of Epic Fantasy. Definitely a 5 star read.
Filled with intrigue, mystery, love, hate and so much more. I can't imagine the work put into writing these novels. Definitely for someone with high reading comprehension. I've read a lot of popular sci-fi novels by various authors and Lander's ranksamong the best.
