The Habit and The Hood covers a period of history from the Crusades and through the reigns of Edward 2nd and Edward 3rd and into the Scottish Wars through the outlawing and eventual liberation of the common man. Using the traditions of English Folklore, the novel catalogues the journeys and hardships of ab and of English footballers in their journey as renegade against the crown to their final liberation as soldiers in the army of Edward 3rd in his Scottishcampaigns and finally to their demise at the influx of the Black Death. Covering a turbulent period of English history the novel shows what it is to take the journey of both political and personal advancement.
