When your perfect present has other plans!

Every cat has nine lives, and Penny is about to need one. A swirl of coloured lights, a hard landing, and she wakes a hundred feet above London, inside the Crystal Palace on the eve of the Great Exhibition of 1851.

A super-intelligent, Italian-speaking Siamese CyberCat with impeccable taste, Penny soon becomes the most talked-about curiosity among a hundred thousand exhibits, attracting crowds, reporters and even royalty.

But while everyone is enthralled by the notorious Koh-i-Noor diamond, two light-fingered schemers are plotting to steal a priceless Celtic brooch and escape to France. Only one extremely clever cat can see what the humans have missed.

The Reluctant Gift is the third book in the CyberCat Series: a witty, warm-hearted Victorian time-slip adventure, rich in historical detail and feline mischief. Perfect for readers who enjoy clever historical fiction and a gentle caper.
