I enjoy the characters, the team, the location in the Lake District, the challenges of fighting crime in a large, rural area, and the mysteries. Each one is different and unique and I also really enjoy that Skelgill follows the trail but is also picking up intuitive impressions and often needs to go off quietly to fish and allow the information to come together in a clear picture. I also love that there were already a lot of books written in the series before I discovered it! I am deliberately spreading my reading over time so I can enjoy looking forward to the next book!
