I’ve lost count of how many DI Skelgill books I’ve read. These 3 book box sets are not conducive to me being productive! I do think they just get better and better. Probably because the development of the characters gets deeper and you learn more about them with each murder mystery. Again, I can’t say it enough… I love each book’s setting in the Lake area, the nature descriptions that make you smell fish and hear birds and waterfalls and trout sipping mayflies. Good stuff. And Skelgill, DS Jones, Leyton and their commitment to justice and each other just continues to build. All while they consume bacon rolls and other goodies and pots and pots of tea. I’m not a tea drinker but reading these books makes me want to be! Oh and the subtle and not so subtle humor…I hooted at the comparison you made, I think in one of the books in this box set,… ‘That would be like casting Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher’!
