I almost always rate the books I read, but I rarely write comments. I purchased the first 4 books in this series on January 21, 2021, and it I immediately got lost in my unread kindle library. About 4 weeks ago while looking through my library for my next read I decided to finally crack open the first book in the series. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this book. The three main characters are likable and the story was very well written. As mysteries go i enjoyed the twists and turns that are critical for a great book. What a gem i had sitting in my library!!! Needless to say I was quickly addicted to Skelgill, Jones and Layton. I just completed books 2-10 in the series and have downloaded the next 3. Through 10 books I have not been disappointed. (Other than Skelgill not taking the next step in his relationship with Jones). I strongly recommend this series to fans of mysteries. Bruce Beckham is a quality author. I don't think you will be disappointed.
