Six corporate rivals. One remote mountain retreat. Two bodies. In this closed-circle lesbian thriller, everyone has secrets, but only one is a killer.
VeriScan AI can spot deep fakes, but CEO Abigail Elsher cannot patch the broken trust in her executive team. A team-building getaway meant to heal rifts becomes a crucible of betrayal and murder. When the first executive is found dead, professional masks drop. Raw ambition surfaces. The second death proves the killer is still among them.
No Way Out delivers the pulse of a locked-room mystery with the bite of lesbian crime fiction. Expect tech intrigue, corporate power plays, and a steadily tightening net. Every chapter turns the screw. Every reveal forces a choice. In this WLW thriller, the deepest deceptions are not digital. They are painfully human.
Perfect for readers hunting psychological sapphic thriller and lesbian mystery thriller vibes: corporate retreat tension, unreliable allies, and an investigator who must decide what she is willing to expose to survive the night. If your shelves hold the best lesbian thrillers, make room for one more.

More Twists Than a Rubik’s Cube No Way Out is a psychological thriller with more twists and turns than a Rubik’s Cube. I usually give a book fifty pages to fully draw me in; this one had me locked in from the very first sentence. “Six hours, twenty-nine minutes and thirty-three seconds ago, I murdered someone.” What follows is a masterclass in misdirection. Just when you think you’ve figured things out, Ruby Scott pivots and sends the reader in an entirely different direction. Despite the shifting timelines and multiple perspectives, the story is easy to follow. Nothing feels confusing; every shift feels intentional, making this a tightly plotted, expertly crafted novel. The suspense never lets up. Although the murder occurs in the opening line, we do not learn the full details of the crime until almost the very end. The tension is sustained, the pacing sharp, and the payoff deeply satisfying. This is as good a whodunit as I have read in a long time. And while I firmly believe nobody did the genre quite like Agatha Christie, No Way Out earns its place in that conversation. Highly recommended.
Exhausted, frustrated and utterly addicted! This book was everything that I didn’t know I needed! I delved into ‘No Way Out’ on the back of a book hangover which demanded that I read something gripping and gritty, and this book delivered on both fronts! 👏🏼 It is bursting at the seams with tension, drama, intrigue, suspense, and more twists than a damn corkscrew! I was pretty much frustrated for the majority of this book, happy to stew in my anger towards specific characters, only for Susie Fleming&Ruby Scott to flip the script once more! I felt utterly manipulated, chapter by chapter, until the very last page, and I bloody loved it! 🙌🏼 ‘No Way Out’ is like riding a wild rollercoaster, all the adrenaline, emotions, the ups and the downs. And just when you think you’ve worked it out and sit there smiling smugly half way through, the damn thing jolts and takes the return journey backwards, leaving you screaming WT actual F?! Lastly, I have to give a shout-out to the dark humour in this book, it was entirely genius! I mean… ‘Her face cracks open wider than a porn star on heat as she beams at him adoringly.’ Just glorious. 🤣
