His employment took him from Russia to the Middle East and across most of Europe. Later, he was admitted to the Texas State Bar and spent his legal career as a prosecutor, a criminal defense attorney, and staff counsel for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Today, he and his wife reside in central Texas. He has authored twelve crime fiction novels under the pen name of Alan Brenham. He is currently working on his thirteenth novel, the third in the Kit Hanover series.
