Can a rescue cat with hi-tech whiskers heal a broken heart?

Schrödinger's Rescue Cat is a gift book like no other: real photos of rescue cat Felix, fictionalised biography and AI-prompted art, in a witty tale of grief, love and WiFi-enabled whiskers.

Born on the streets of Romania, Felix (aka Fifi) is forced to relocate to a small flat in London when his original saviour in Eastern Europe falls ill.

His new dad—a workaday writer—and his partner are grieving their much-loved family pet, Oscar. When they spot Felix on a cat charity website, they are stunned. He is Oscar's doppelgänger, with a bit of added dreamboat.

When Oscar fires up the pet superhighway as a parting gift, Felix downloads the message and is soon using his newfound superpower to communicate with his digi-phobe new owner on a level more cloud nine than two-factor authentication.

As Dad taps away on a variety of topics he knows very little about—from ancient aliens and Welsh elections to astrology, Wimbledon tennis and TV maths quiz mastermind Rachel Riley—man and cat become locked in a witty, mega-byte battle of wits.
