Reviews
Check your Medicare records This book is jaw dropping. Simply explained and easy to understand, it is littered with incredible stories of rip offs that all actually happened! So many people saved money on their bills and kept government entitlements like the safety net that I could not stop reading just to see if it had every happened to me, and then I followed her advice and checked my Medicare app .....and yep, it had happened to me. This is a must read for anyone who values the ways they spend their money.
The perfect medical bill companion I learned so much about the traps hidden in the Australian health system from reading this book. This is the bible when it comes to navigating our complex medical-billing jungle. This book showed me what to pay for and, more importantly, what not to pay for. I now know how to ask the right questions about medical bills. I also learned about the excellent free alternatives to GPs - telehealth, nurse practitioners and Medicare Urgent Care Clinics. Most importantly, this book showed me not to just blindly accept medical bills and to ask educated questions and take back control of my health care.
A great book for all Australians This is a great book that provides clear and insightful explanations of how medical billing works in a simple, easy-to-follow way for readers of all backgrounds. Some of the facts presented were truly shocking, particularly how loopholes in the medical system can be exploited by respected professions, often without patients even realising it. These practices can have a detrimental impact on patients and their medical benefits. I believe more Australians should read this book and apply its tips to better protect themselves and avoid potential harm to their medical entitlements.
