"I really enjoyed this tale. It was definitely more on the scarier side especially compared to the first one. It seems like the tales are getting increasingly scarier, which is a good thing. I enjoyed the whole series, and I think it is a great read for the darker season - especially around Halloween. I recommend this to every middle-grader who loves a little thrill and spook in their lives. But be warned: do not try this game yourself! "
"Did I love the plot of this story, yes. Did I cringe at how mean Michiko’s friends were to her, also yes. It made me sad even though I knew that Michiko had to overcome this friendship hardship to really come into her strength as a character. I went straight for the third book because when I was a kid my friends and I used to use the Ouija board all the time. This felt like a what could have happened cautionary tale and I couldn’t get enough of it! "
