Reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the book I needed in my teenage years! Teenage years can be exhilarating, a roller coaster of highs and, sometimes, lows. Often carried along on a tidal wave of emotions and feelings, we don’t always stop to think about how or why we feel a particular way; we just know we do, almost zombified. We seldom take the time to think about the knock-on effect of how we feel about an occurrence or a person, particularly the negative stuff. We little realize the meanings we assign to such things can stay with us for life unless we choose to do something about that. In her book “My Zombie Emotions,” author Julie Kusma MHE takes us through the spectrum of emotions, feelings, and reactions, explaining each in an incredibly easily accessible way and encouraging us to examine these to prevent us from transforming into emotional zombies. DRK This fascinating book transcends age, and I’ll happily admit that even at my age, I learned a lot from reading this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of helpful info A thorough easy to read and understand journey through emotions aimed at teens but adults may find it interesting and/or helpful. The author takes care to explain any possibly unfamiliar terms or concepts in the glossary at the back. This is followed by further reading recommendations and ways to get support if required. Well worth a read. Lily Lawson
