Redemption and a Second Chance Romance in a Backwoods Community

A handsome, stern mountain man and his young son pull Kate deep into the untamed beauty of the Canadian wilderness and into a life she never imagined.

Kate begins a wild Canadian journey in the summer of 1973 when she immigrates to the province of British Columbia. Almost immediately, she is seduced by the bittersweet challenges of a backwoods community. When she encounters Dave, a stern mountain man, a unique kind of romance starts to blossom. Yet, he and his young seven-year-old son are going a hundred miles off the grid to homestead and carve out a ranch in the Canadian wilderness!

It is there, in the harsh alpine forests and meadows, that Kate is tested to her utmost limits. She requires a source of higher power and finds God in nature, but it will require all the faith she has to travel her destined and turbulent path….

Purity Found is a must-have for every spiritually minded woman’s bookshelf! It is a stand-alone novel, the second in The Spirit Quest Series and the prelude to activating the unique belief system shared in the author’s non-fiction, award-winning book, The Celestial Proposal.

Reviews

An inspiring novel about persistence, faith, and the brutal beauty of the natural world, Purity Found is a standalone empowering and spiritually nourishing installment of the author's Spirit Quest Series. Kate is a devout and fearless protagonist, dropped into an intimidating new world. Loosely linked to a larger belief structure and philosophy, the book is both a thrilling tale of rugged romance and a spiritually driven parable of connecting with God during life's greatest challenges. The emotional entanglements are wholesome and honestly penned.

SelpPublishing Review

A SLOW-BURN UNIQUE ROMANCE Purity Found follows Kate as she distances herself from a troubled past in Oregon and stakes her claim in a rural backwoods community in British Columbia, Canada. A long way from home, she finds herself charmed by the 'old-fashioned' slow pace but hardworking life, exemplified in the man she meets who will change her future: the strongest man she's ever met, both mentally and physically. The great outdoors itself becomes its own character, particularly...when the stakes are literally life and death.

Reader Views

This novel is quite a compelling, suspenseful, and vivid story: the story of a young woman's self-discovery in the wilds of B.C. Also a compelling and believable love story, and a story about spiritual growth, or spirituality. I think the success of the novel lies in the many precise details the author has used to describe the physical settings and characters in the story. The author's skill with description is a strong aspect of the novel, making the story believable to the reader. There are many memorable, precise, and vivid descriptions of physical actions, which I enjoyed above all, and which allowed me to imagine the story and even be there in those beautiful settings. Well done!
