This all lies ahead for Rob Crichton when arrives from London at a remote Northumbrian pub. He’s looking for rest and recuperation after executive burn-out. However, he’s quickly caught up in a bitter dispute between the likable landlady Catriona and her estranged husband Shaun.

Summoned back to London to fight for his job, Rob learns about the bribe. He didn’t ask for it, but the money is there in his bank account. Who paid it, and why? Then to cap it all, he’s implicated in a suspicious death.

Ranging between London and the north Northumberland coast, ‘The Inducement’ follows Rob’s fight to clear his name and keep his job, while at the same time he tries to help Catriona keep her pub afloat.
