A nameless child’s body dumped on an Italian beach; an Italian conman, Alessandro Verdi, murdered in London. A former lover of Alessandro, Agata, an Agente di Polizai, is asked to investigate his death by his family. Despite the different locations of the bodies, all clues lead to the hillside town of Montecatini della Torre in Tuscany.
