Witches & Vampire & family curses… Oh, my! Moonstone & Mugwort is an amazing story that sucked me in on page one and had me unwilling to put it down. I devoured this book in two days, and loved every bit of this story and its characters. I cannot wait for the next book and more of Ava toand Enzo. I had heard wonderful things about the author, Julie Embleton, from other readers and none of the praise is undeserving. Embleton masterfully weaved a tale as magical as her characters and I cannot recommend this book highly enough! This was the first novel I’ve read by Julie Embleton, but it definitely will not be my last! FIVE STARS!

I’m no stranger to Embleton’s books starting with the Turning Moon series. I didn’t think it could get better…it did! What a story! I was captured within mere chapters and was left gawking with my mouth open when I closed the book. Embleton created fully rounded and layered characters, including the minor ones. The story ebbed and flowed in all the right places. This fantastical world where humans, vampires, witches and things that go bump in the night are thrown into a brewing pot right before a looming eclipse threatening to shake up both the magical and human worlds. I love this jumble mix of magic, palm reading, tarot cards, spells and curses amongst the human world. Throw in a couple lines of Pride and Prejudice and you have literary icing on the cake! Embleton definitely Knows how to shake up this magical world while leaving the human world none the wiser. Well, most of them.
