From the first time Amy steps foot in the building on Oxford’s High Street that she and her husband intend to turn into a coffee shop, she is disturbed by an oppressive atmosphere. After she discovers an unusual painting on a wall, the life of a young woman who once lived there resonates through the centuries, and the past starts to become more real to her than the present, with potentially disastrous consequences.
