An intriguing well-written story with complex characters that kept me guessing. There were characters I cheered for, some I booed and others I couldn’t make up my mind about. Even up to the climactic ending. The story is a mixture of magic, mystery, romance and so much more, leaving me with an array of emotions.

This was the second offering from T.L. Stevens that I have read. It swept me into a world where fantasy and reality collide, and I never felt entirely sure which characters I could trust—and that’s exactly what made it so interesting, somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster. The plot twists, which there were many, forced me to reconsider what I thought I knew throughout the story. With its blend of magic, moral complexity, and a touch of romance, this book leaves you with a sense of wonder long after the last page is turned. Highly recommended.

A well-written and wild ride of a story filled with everything from fantasy to hard truths of real life. There’s magic, suspense, romance, a major battle between good and evil all brilliantly blended together.
