The Christmas Tailor
Formats: E-Book, Paperback
Ages: 8-11, 12-15
Each year, on New Year's Day, elves from every part of the North Pole gather in the village of Nicholas Parish, hoping to compete in one of the most unusual tournaments ever held. The prize? Being named Mr. Kringle's Christmas tailor! As Christmas tailor, the winner is in charge of making Mr. Kringle's colorful outfit for Christmas Eve.
Elwin Fyne is one of those tailors hoping to compete. With the help of his grandfather, who was once a finalist himself, Elwin begins his training. However, because of his parents' strong feelings against the tournament, the young elf must practice in secret.
This is not so with Cray Cragmore, who compels his three wards to enter. For Mr. Cragmore, winning the Christmas Tailor Contest is all about the prestige and bragging rights that go along with it. And with all three of his charges signing up at once, the odds of one being selected as a finalist are high.
As for Elwin, will he be one of those lucky ones to have his name drawn? And, if so, will all his years of training pay off?
