The Miraculous Music of Clara Martinelli

Formats: E-Book, Paperback

Ages: 16-18, 18+

OUR WORLD IS IN PERIL. WHAT IF A PIECE OF MUSIC COULD SAVE IT?
A Himalayan monk with superhuman talents, looking for a way to save the Earth. An English harpist whose music has the power to change everything. Two very different worlds ... connected by miraculous music.

Clara Martinelli dreams that her mother will die unless she plays her concert harp non-stop. If she heeds this omen, she won't ever be able to leave her London flat, but if she ignores it, her mother will die in the ghastly manner foretold in the dream.

Across the world in Nepal, when disease kills the last elder in a Himalayan monastery, the axis of the Earth shifts and Rinzen must leave his sanctuary for the first time in his life.

Intensive training has given him superhuman talents, but the only people who can help the Samudrans are across the world in Columbia ... and Rinzen has no passport, almost no money and military special forces are in hot pursuit.

In a world facing climate change and environmental destruction, this magical realism novel combines an epic adventure with a tender love story, and a spiritual journey with the search for wisdom.

5 out of 5 stars: A thought-provoking tale for our current time Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 September 2020 I loved every minute of reading this book. The Miraculous Music of Clara Martinelli is highly relevant to the current times and the turbulences our world is going through. It offers a clear reflection of challenges, imbalances and troubles our earth is facing, and also offers ways to restore the balance and harmony. It has a cleverly crafted storyline, where two threads are weaving a tale of unexpected twists and turns. I loved the suspense at the end of each chapter that kept me waiting for the next occasion I could curl up of the sofa to continue reading. Peter Howard is a talented wordsmith with an exceptional gift to follow his intuition in writing, combining it with serious research into the factual background of cultural topics and geographical scenes. Can’t wait to read more of his books!

5.0 out of 5 stars: An utter delightful read Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 June 2020 Every now and again your read a book that is so outrageously imaginative and yet so thoroughly believable, that you just have to stop and wonder how the author thought they could pull it off – and then simply marvel at the fact that they have. What could a neurotic London harpist and a Tibetan monk possibly have in common? Merely the future of the planet. The absurdity of the premise is surpassed only by the thorough joy of being taken for the ride. This book is a delight.
