Let Love Find A Way

Formats: E-Book, Paperback

Ages: 16-18, 18+

Family tradition dictates the women go home to Wales to find a husband, but it’s 1966 and Tegan Lewis, daughter of a wealthy Colombian cattle rancher, rejects this old-fashioned idea.
And she’s going to marry Luís, son of a local politician with ambitions. But when it comes to it, she can’t bend to his desire to turn her into a society lady. Deeply hurt that he doesn’t understand her need to prioritise the ranch while her father is recovering from cancer, she makes a complete break with him and ends up on a journey half way across the world – to a remote Welsh village and a chance to discover her roots.
She’s certainly not looking for love, but high in the Brecon Beacons, she meets sheep farmer Hywel Davies – handsome, intense and with a tragic past – and soon realises how shallow her previous relationship was.
Divided by two very different cultures and 5,000 miles of ocean, can they find a way to make a life together?

Reviews

Romantic and evocative A beautifully descriptive and evocative story of a young girl blossoming into womanhood. This is the gentle, well observed tale of a relationship which must weather the storms of jealousy, grief and family loyalties. Well recommended for fans of romance. This really resonated with me! I was born and brought up in Hereford, an English cathedral city on the Welsh borders, by an English father and a Welsh mother, so I am very familiar with the setting of this lovely story. I empathised with both the hero and heroine, and I enjoyed following them on their romantic journeys. Some first class research has clearly inspired this engaging novel. I am looking forward to reading other work by this author very soon.

Epic 60s love story across two continents Very engaging characters and settings. Lots of romantic tension. Enjoyed the 60s references to fashions and social history. Ripe for a sequel as some hooks left dangling - the looming slag heaps in South Wales and the fate of both farms.
