Louis Rivera grew up in a rambunctious household in the Bronx, New York surrounded by women who taught him to love books, The Beatles, The Who, Star Trek, and Sabrett Hot Dogs. Allures that continue to influence his most important life decisions. His professional life has included stints in the world of concert promotion, radio station management, and the representation of authors such as Doris Kearns Goodwin, Ralph Nader, and G. Gordon Liddy on the corporate lecture circuit. He recently stepped away from a thirty-year career in media where he worked for companies such as Viacom/CBS, NYT Digital, and most recently, NBCUniversal to concentrate on writing. Early in life, he developed a passion for the social commentary embedded in the work of writers like Kurt Vonnegut, Don DeLillo, and Salam Rushdie. He maintains a passionate interest in politics and in the narratives of historical figures who transformed the world. In his work, he imagines how consequential historical events ripple through time to transmute the present-day lives of otherwise ordinary people.
