A fierce weather event catapults the Mysties into the Forbidden, a dangerous area dreaded and avoided by both humans and animals. An angry gnome named Eyck poisoned the Forbidden.

The crash landing of the Mysties, enchanting creations that add a crystal-like sparkle to the air, tears open a hole in the Forbidden. The gnome's poison begins to leak out threatening to engulf Brewster Gap.
