First and foremost, I would much rather learn about you than talk about me. My background story is a complicated one, but here is a tiny capsule of information. I was born in Upstate New York. I left Upstate in my late teens. After living in California, I worked my way through college at Boston University and completed master’s and doctoral studies at the City University of New York. I worked as an Industrial & Organizational Psychologist for many years. Research was my focus. I now live in the Washington, DC area with my husband and our Pembroke Welsh darling corgi, Sunni. Our other wonderful corgis--Domino, Penni, and Benny--have crossed the rainbow bridge. From early childhood, I created stories and characters. I did not write them down. I had no idea I was a writer. I played dress up and acted out characters. I got caught up in day-to-day life--going to school, forging a career. Writing to me consisted of crafting research reports. However, the urge to tell stories never left me. Writing beckoned. When I had more time, I took a couple of writing courses; one in particular helped me remove the barrier between wanting to write and actually writing. The course taught me structure. I have published four volumes in the Domino Series (paperback, Kindle: The Hexe (audio too); The Ghost of Kellytch Hall (audio too); The Curse of Old Chief Cave (audio too); and, The Mystery of Three Oak Manor. Just when Domino finishes solving one problem, another one appears, This time, the Pembroke Welsh corgi is called upon to protect Brewster Gap from harm that humans cannot sense. A fierce weather event catapults the Mysties into the Forbidden, a dangerous area dreaded and avoided by both humans and animals. An angry gnome named Eyck poisoned the Forbidden. The crash landing of the Mysties, enchanting creations that add a crystal-like sparkle to the air, tears open a hole in the Forbidden. The gnome's poison begins to leak out threatening to engulf Brewster Gap. Alarmed by their cries for help, Domino and his best friend, African grey parrot Lovey, want to rescue the Mysties. But how? They are short on ideas and even shorter on time. The survival of the Mysteries is in jeopardy. They will not last long in captivity.
