Reviews
Even if Old Man Winter is refusing to leave your neck of the woods, this book will immerse you right into the sights, sounds and fragrance of spring. When her stepsister can’t make their flight to warm, sunny, St. Thomas, Lacey Devlin finds herself tripping into the lap of the very yummy Will Mayers. Embarrassment quickly turns to infatuation, but Lacey figures she'll never see Will again. After they part ways, he surprises her by claiming a kiss before leaving the airport, and then again by showing up at the resort where she's staying. These two characters are so wonderful! Lacey is sweet, optimistic and self-deprecating, which certainly help her deal with her klutziness. And somehow, all of that makes her more endearing. Will is a guy with a big heart and a great work ethic, but he has a few things to work out in his mind when it comes to relationships. Of course, this serves to make the story even more fascinating, especially when you add a nifty little twist that causes its own share of chaos. This story will have you believing in the hand of destiny and twists of fate, and in the ideas of soulmates and love at first site. It will warm any chill left from a long cold winter and make hope spring eternal in your heart. Don’t pass up this humorous, heartfelt uplifting read, and get ready for a hot, steamy summer from the next book in this series.
Will and Lacey have met on an airplane. She’s vacationing for a week in the sun, and he’s going back home after the death of a friend. There’s an instant connection that neither can ignore. So when they run into each other once they get there, they want to explore what’s going on between them. But they only have a week to do it, and then they each have to go back to their lives. One week isn’t enough, but it will have to be. This was such a sweet insta-love romance told in alternating viewpoints, so we get to see how they each develop feelings for the other. I love Lacey. She’s klutzy, quirky, and a lot of fun. Will loves all that about her, and he’s not afraid to tell her how he’s feeling. They’re perfect together. While this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. But you get to see some characters from book 1, Snowflakes and Sapphires. I love this group and every time we meet someone new, they fit into the group of friends perfectly. A super fun and swoony read.
