Cameron Matthews is starting her junior year of high school after her parents caught her with another girl and sent her to a conservative Christian summer camp. Once back in her parents’ house, she is determined to convince her parents that she is the God-fearing, heterosexual daughter they demand her to be – at least until she can leave for college.

Brynn Thompson is starting her junior year on a high note, or so she thinks. She has just started dating the star of the basketball team, and she is finally starting to feel like she has found a new normal after her mother’s passing. But when her dad tells her he has started dating again, and she starts spending more time with Cameron Matthews, she begins to question everything she thought she wanted.

As Brynn and Cameron grow closer, they realize their relationship could cost them more than either is prepared to pay. But with the help of friends and family, they might be able to find their way through all the expectations and to each other.
