Mirror of the Sea captivated this reader from beginning to end. My desire to keep reading and follow the intricacies of the amazing characters and their adventures kept me finding every opportunity to return to this tale of fantasy. I would find myself waking up early to follow the tale. The story had many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. I eagerly anticipate the next installment, and in the meantime, I intend to re-read Judith Lepore’s first novel. She writes with clarity and passion, never losing sight of where she is going and what her characters are portraying. She weaves her tale with beautiful words and excellent blending in her plot. Readers will love the suspense and the thrill of this truly gripping fantasy novel. Dr. Martin Ray
When I read Where the Moon Has Been, I didn’t want the story to stop, it was that good. Then I got my wish...Mirror of the Sea fulfilled all my hopes, and a whole lot more. This magical, epic, fantasy swept me away to a fully formed world with characters—some evil, and some endearingly wonderful. And, with a compelling story that, once again, I didn’t want to end. Of course, you DO really want it to end, if only to resolve the exquisite anticipation and tension of dying to know what happened and how it all worked out. This story did not disappoint, instead satisfying me, and leading to cravings for Book Three. I got completely invested in Nowait, a young female mix of sorcerer and mortal, and held my breath as she faced danger and evil. I got a deep sense of satisfaction as she found her way to a genuine sense of belonging and was triumphant. This book would satisfy a broad range of readers, from older adults like me to young people looking for complete magical worlds to be engulfed by, fantasy, and beautifully drawn characters to really care about, So, come on, Judith Lepore, give us Book Three!
