Reviews
I had this on my kindle since August as I liked the idea of time travel fiction. I didn't get reading this until November as I was stuck at home due to injuring my back. Well - wow what a book. I devoured this and the next 5 in the series in one week. Now on book 12 and hoping that more will be published! I have been raving about these books since I started on this one. If you like time travel, multi universes, paradoxes, humour and the 1980s/90s you will love these books
I have been reading books on the subject of time travel for over 20 years and I did not think I could read anything new on the subject. This is the first of a series of 11 books that develop as you go through them. The first feels like a teen novel but keep reading them as they get older. The books explore different aspects of time travel using the same characters and as a result it is very creative and enjoyable. I have not enjoyed a series like this for a very long time. If you can buy the lot .. after reading them with Amazon unlimited I wanted copies to keep for my own.
This is my introduction to the writing of Jason Ayres and I wonder why I have waited so long! Within a few minutes of starting the book a connection was formed with the characters that grew as the story unfolded. It is just such an easy read! Not since my first introduction to the Swallows and Amazons books by Arthur Ransome over 50 years ago have I enjoyed reading so much. I have purchased all 9 volumes in the Time Bubble series and I'm well into book two, Global Cooling. Love the characters! Just so believable!
