Chasing Different - Loving Different triology 1
Formats: E-Book, Paperback
Ages: 16-18, 18+
Fitting in has a price. Being different might cost everything.
Nia Lewis prefers books to people. Books don’t stare. Books don’t judge. Books don’t ask her to be louder, braver, or anything other than invisible.
Then Deacon Everette walks into her library.
Brilliant. Blunt. Unapologetically different.
And entirely uninterested in shrinking himself to make others comfortable.
Their connection is undeniable, but Nia has spent her life surviving by blending in. Falling for a man who refuses to fit the mold feels dangerous.
What’s truly dangerous, however, is the ancient book Nia accidentally uncovers — a relic whispered about in intelligence circles as the Book of Disasters. Now powerful forces are closing in. Her sister Sin, an undercover operative assigned to secure the book, is racing against time. And Deacon — a gifted geneticist with skills far beyond the lab — becomes Nia’s unexpected protector.
As secrets unravel and enemies step out of the shadows, Nia and Deacon are thrust into a deadly chase that spans hidden agendas, global manipulation, and a power far older than either of them imagined.
Because the world isn’t just afraid of different.
It hunts it.
And staying alive may require Nia to embrace the very thing she’s always hidden, herself.

Robin Holland 5.0 out of 5 starsVerified Purchase I Wish I Could Give This Novel Ten Stars!!! Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2025 Format: Kindle An author that can write a story weaving together several genres in an edge of your seat page turner is a true master crafts person .Colette Harrell is one who has this wonderful gift. Chasing Different is her new novel and it takes readers on a roller coaster ride from page one. This is a novel that I had to read slowly, so I could soak in the imagery and emotions threaded throughout each chapter. Some scenes were chilling and reminded me of current events that are taking place in the world today. The main characters Nia and Deacon are so realistic and complex. I was rooting for them and their families . The Characters from Ms. Harrell's wonderful novel "Later " also come back ( if you haven't read it, please do!) I actually read it again while I was reading "Chasing Different," so I could refresh my memory about the Trumbell and Benson families. I cannot wait until the next novel comes out. Thank you, Ms. Harrell for this wonderful story!
