Love Me Home is an invitation to go on a journey with the wounded healer Jesus Christ. It is rooted in my experience during and after the 30 day Ignatian Spiritual Exercises during which a deep childhood trauma emerged for the first time. The book combines in a unique way poetry, personal narrative, scripture, theological reflection and art. The poetry is accessible and earthy and opens up the space for the reader to engage with their own wounding and how Christ might want to touch them. The book is a companion to help us go down into the deeps of our being where we often fear to look, and lets us know that Christ can relate to all of our experiences because he was there, too.
