Carolyn Ruffles writes both contemporary and historical fiction, laced with mystery, romance and suspense. She loves reading and writing books which tell a compelling story: books with drama and emotional depth; books with characters who stay with her, long after their tale has ended; books about ordinary people embroiled in extraordinary situations and learning about themselves in the process. Having retired from teaching, Carolyn wrote her first novel, The Girl in the Scrapbook, which was published in November, 2018. Who To Trust, followed in March 2020 and The Vanishing Encore, her third book, in 2021. The Lightbody Mystery series is her first duology.
