Formats: E-Book, Audio, Paperback, Hardback, Large print
Ages: 12-15, 16-18, 18+
Is better late than never wisdom—or a recipe for disaster?
When genealogist Ellie McLellan’s formidable Aunt Norma confesses to a decades-old family crime, Ellie’s tight-knit circle of senior genealogists decides there’s only one way to make things right: a road trip. Their destination? Virginia’s Cabins, a once-sleepy lakeside resort—and the scene of the long-ago misdeed.
But time hasn’t stood still.
The cabins have new owners, new rules, and more secrets than anyone expected. Packed into cramped quarters and fueled by righteous determination, Ellie and her spirited companions must confront suspicious hosts, hunt down a long-lost treasure, silence rumors that Aunt Norma was once a spy, orchestrate a surprise proposal, and push Ellie toward the most personal—and important—genealogy case of her career.
All before naptime.
Witty, warm, and delightfully twisty, this cozy mystery proves that some secrets refuse to stay buried—and that it’s never too late for trouble to find you.
Reviews
Now that we are four books into this series we are really getting to know and love the characters in Ellie’s genealogy group. Slowly but surely more secrets are revealed and in this book we start to learn more about Norma and a secret she has kept to herself since she was ten years old. This leads to a bit of a road trip where discoveries are made. There is a sweet romantic story in this book too as well as a cliffhanger for the main character Ellie. Definitely recommend
