Armed with a BA in Early Childhood Studies, A. F. B. Griffey worked with 4 – 7’s, for a number of years. In fact many of the poems found within 'The Revenge of the Goldfish' have been tested and approved by school and pre-school children. A. F. B. also worked as a college lecturer. A. F. B. Griffey is the name she uses for children's books. 'Griffey' is a tribute to her Grandfather. His name was Griffin (Griff). Griff's presence, within A. F. B. 's childhood, encouraged her sense of adventure, wisdom, passion for literature and her love of life. The name Annette-Frances B. is used for adult writing such as poetry and for 'We'll Dance When the Ghost Walks' - the biography of her father, two aunts and an uncle who formed an acrobatic adagio dance troupe and toured the variety theatres throughout the 1930s to mid 1950s. A. F. B. Griffey / Annette-Frances B. is married with three grown up children and two grandchildren. Despite living with stage 4 cancer, she has an excellent quality of life and enjoys adventure, running on the beach with her dog, music, poetry and white water rafting.
