Formerly Senior Broadcast Journalist in News & Current Affairs at the BBC, now Indie author. A trip to Tunis following the Arab Spring led to ten years of work on two books, both of which have been published independently. They are historical adventure, fast paced and dramatic. 'By the Horn of the South' was published in September 2023 and explores a voyage allegedly taken by Hanno the Navigator from Carthage (in Tunis) to the coast of West Africa in about 500BCE. The second book, 'By the Pillars of Herakles', was published in September 2024. It is a prequel to the first and establishes how my characters got together in the first place.
