Sara Sweeney is an academic librarian, writer, and independent publisher based in rural Oklahoma. She is the author of The Year That Wasn’t Hers, a time-travel romance set in 1938 Wales that blends history, humor, complicated grown-up relationships, and the looming threat of fascism. By day, Sara works as an art and architecture librarian and university professor, where her work focuses on research, teaching, access to information, and the ways libraries help people understand both history and the present. She also founded Reading Room Press, an independent publishing imprint, and has a particular interest in authorship, copyright, publishing, and creative ownership. She lives in rural Oklahoma with her family and a deeply unreasonable number of animals.
