After a long career in investment banking, she traded the fast pace of the financial world for the serenity of the sea, where she now lives with her two cats, Belle and Rudy. Her deep love of history has been nurtured by over 13 years of volunteering at the Tower of London, a place that continues to inspires her writing. With a PhD in English from Birkbeck, she has always been drawn to stories that delve into the darker corners of the human experience. She is currently working on her next novel, Ravenscourt, a Victorian Gothic steeped in mystery, and she is planning a sequel to Tower of Vengeance.
