Some truths are buried deep. Others rise with the tide. Nerissa Morgen, nature photographer and Choctaw descendant, has spent five years rebuilding her life in Niceville, Florida, after the death of her father. But when she meets Brandt Murphy, a seasoned wizard-detective following a chilling trail of magical disappearances connected to the decades-old mystery of her missing mother, they uncover ancient magic and dangerous family secrets. As buried truths surface on the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, Nerissa is swept into a conflict involving dark magic, missing persons, and an otherworldly legacy she never wanted. To survive, she must embrace her Nereid and Choctaw heritage and the magic they hold—or be lost to the dark forces seeking to claim her.
