Shannon Bruce Nace: Resume I have worked in various fields in my life and have received an education that reflects it. For many years I have been deeply involved in the travel industry as well as journalism and photography. The written word and the camera have been my main media of communication. Spring 2004. * *My final applied project (or thesis) was a travel book, “Shadow on the Range,” which recounts the story of several characters who helped shape the West along the Rocky Mountain Front, from the New Mexico / Texas borderlands to Northern Montana. In the book, I recount the legends while driving, hiking, and kayaking through the landscape. I pay particular attention to the story of Tom Ross, an obscure outlaw from the last days of the Old West. I have since turned it into a novel about Tom Ross, which I am currently promoting to agents and publishers.
