Rose Ojo-Ajayi, PhD is an artist, art educator, writer, and historian of African and African Diasporic art. She is devoted to spreading the awareness of African art and cultures to audiences of all ages. Concerned by the limited amount of supplementary educational materials aimed at teaching children about the various cultures in Africa as well as the Diaspora. She decided to create an illustrated Yoruba alphabet and number chart geared towards children. After creating Let’s Explore the Languages and Cultures of Africa Yoruba Alphabet Coloring Book©, AyoBooks, L.L.C. was born. AyoBooks is a company devoted to creating books and educational material about African and African Diasporic cultures. It is truly a labor of love.
