Telling stories through literature, music, and drama has always been a passion of mine. Storytelling helps students visualize what they are learning and inspires their creativity. With this understanding, I wrote many plays that enhanced the music they were performing. Several of my wrap-arounds (as I call them) are offered for sale on Teachers Pay Teachers. In 2010, I wrote and self-published a picture book entitled "The Great Tempo Race" to help my primary students learn some musical terms through a story. I based it on The Tortoise and the Hare from Aesop's Fables, and it can be purchased on Amazon and online at Barnes & Noble. My grandson asked me to write him a story, and I have now completed, after 2 1/2 years, a middle-grade novel which I am working on getting published. My vision is to have it the first book in a series of three books.
