I am 79 yrs old, retired and have written 2 books which are now listed on Amazon Kindle as an eBook and Paperback. My books can also be found on Amazon/Goodreads Bookshelves. I have always been an avid reader across many genres, but it was writing a story for my 5 yr old son some 38 years ago, titled "The Adventures of Courtney the Hedgehog" that I so enjoyed. I loved "Wind in the Willows" and The Hobbit alongside "Roald Dahl" books, that inspired me to continue the story. I found a nice link from my first book which my Grandchildren then enjoyed me reading to them titled Further Adventures of Courtney the Hedgehog. I am now getting going again and have settled on a third book which reflects the ever changing environment of Courtney Hedgehog's world. "The Chronicles of River Bank" will capture more excitement, danger, adventure and great outcomes for Courtney and his friends. I hope it will inspire children to read, and parents and grandparents to read the stories to them.

Courtney the Hedgehog is devastated when his house is destroyed by people, but instead of moping around feeling sorry for himself, he sets off on an animal adventure that will take him through the Wood and across the river to his cousin's house in Middleland. Along the way he meets many other animals, making friends with Humphrey, an industrious Mole who agrees to accompany Courtney on his journey. He also meets Hammy the Squirrel and Barnaby, the Water Rat captain of a river boat, who has many fun animal stories to tell.
